Learn without Leaving Ohio

The old, overused quote from Will Rogers, “Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there” is old and overused because it contains an essential grain of truth. Particularly in the work that we do and the industry in which we do it, not ‘sitting there’ is important for our success. The tactics that once worked splendidly for us may be stale. As hard as it is to admit, we may have used good tactics but executed them badly. For this reasons, we have to get out of our ‘been there, done that’ comfort zones and expose ourselves to fresh ideas. Since most of us have limited time and budgets, it is important to choose the educational opportunities that give us the most ‘bang for our buck’. This autumn, I invite and challenge each and everyone one of you to participate in two exciting events—the CTAM Teleseminar on September 29 and the Ohio Cable Institute on October 13.
